Brooklyn Decker's Nighttime Skincare Routine

From gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, starring on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, running her own digital fashion app, and raising her two kids, Brooklyn Decker does it all. More impressively? She does it all while having great skin. In this episode of Go To Bed With Me, Decker walks us through her nighttime regimen, which is refreshingly laid back and requires just six key products.

Decker has a different name for her nighttime skin routine, “I call this my church routine, because I actually most of the time go to bed with my makeup on-beauty sin number one,” she admits. “I can sin all week then go to church on Sunday by doing this routine and my skin forgives me.”

To get started, she cleanses and removes all makeup. Right now, she loves Beautycounter’s Cleansing Balm, which starts off as a solid and melts into an oil when she rubs it into the palm of her hand. The, she removes any excess eye makeup with a round cotton pad.

Next up she washes her face with MyChelle Fruit Enzyme Cleanser, which she picked up at Whole Foods after someone recommended the product to her. “I used to have really bad acne before I had kids, all these zits right here,” she shares while pointing to her chin and jawline.

“It’s really effective at getting the day off,” says Decker. “You know how a lot of makeup removers feel stripping your skin? Because this is oil based, it still feels really soft and nice. My skin feels ready and prepped.”

Decker shares that while she was pregnant, her gynecologist did not want her using retinol, so instead, she opted for iS Clinical’s Pro-Heal Serum Advance Plus. “What I love about this it’s great for anti-aging and fighting acne, which I had a lot of when I was pregnant but I’m using it after because it’s awesome,” she explains. “And like I said, this is church, it’s all about healing the damage from the week.”

The next step is a lightweight self-tanning face drop from John Read. “the first time I tried this I put eight drops into my hands and applied it like a facial oil. Woke up with an orange face, don’t recommend that,” she cautious. Instead, she chases the tanner with Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum.

Decker adds seven drops of the serum with four drops of the tanner, and rubs the blend in the palm of her hands for a few seconds and gently pats the solution into her skin. “I’ll wake up glowy- like you might have gone on jog and the sun kissed my cheeks. It’s not a tan, it’s not bronze, just a little bit glow,” Decker explains.

To wake up with soft lips, Decker applies Glossier’s Balm Dotcom before bed. Her final step to “decompress” is to satisfy her sweet tooth and enjoy a bottle of caffeine-free mango-flavored Pure Leaf iced tea while she unwinds with a great book.
